Music lessons with David Benda

Are you looking for inspiration and guidance on your musical journey? We offer individual and group lessons for beginners and advanced musicians. We focus on developing musical talent, playing technique and the joy of creating music.

About the Lecturer:

David Benda is a singer, multi-instrumentalist, composer and music teacher. He has created several music education programs for primary and secondary schools. He currently teaches at the FL Gassmann Music School in Most. He gives concerts and teaches throughout Europe and in 2020 he won the world championship in playing the five-string banjo in the World Virtual Bluegrass Banjo Contest. His compositions and songs combine genres such as jazz, folk, bluegrass, rock and world music.

Courses for children and adults, beginners and advanced

We offer lessons for all ages and musical levels – from beginners to advanced musicians. Lessons are tailored to the individual needs of each student and focus on instrument playing technique, music theory, improvisation, listening and writing music, practice habits and other skills. Lessons include musical materials (sheet music, tablature, videos).

Lessons offered:

• Playing instruments: banjo, guitar, bass

• Music theory and harmony

• Preparation for talent auditions

• Basics of composition and improvisation

Lesson prices:

Individual lessons (45 minutes):

• One lesson: 1,500 CZK

• Package of 10 lessons: 13,500 CZK

Group lessons (90 minutes for a group of 2-6 people):

• One lesson: 5,000 CZK

• Package of 10 lessons: 45,000 CZK

What the lessons consist of:

Each lesson includes a practical part with instruction in playing the instrument, focusing on technique, music theory, interpretation, improvisation, composition and arranging. Thanks to the individual approach, the lessons are adapted to the level and interests of each student or group.

Location of lessons:

Lessons take place in the city of Most. If interested, lessons can also be arranged online or at a location of your choice. In such cases, a transportation fee of 5 CZK/km will be added to the lesson price.
